Tug of War is confrontational sports and entertainment events, an equal number of both teams pull a rope to compare their strength. This sport event was invented in China's Spring and Autumn Period long time ago. After Tang and Song Period, tug of war started to be very famous among Chinese people. In modern time the rules of the tug of war is a little bit changed: we can draw two parallel lines on the ground to make them the river boundary, the member of teams at both sides of the river is equal. The all members of two teams will have to hold the rope, when they hear the command. Win that team, who can pull the other team to their side of the river boundary. From 1900 to 1920 year, the tug of war was allowed to be hold during Olympics.
There was held such sport competition in Omeida at November 9th, 2011. Plenty of people came to watch the competition and support their friends, who took part in this exciting event.

The competition was so fun, that not only students and teachers came, but also a TV reporter!

The team of teachers was the opponents. They looked so earnest and all of them was waiting for the whistling.
