Nanfeng Temple, in the ancient time we called it lion-shaped Village, the view there is very beautiful. According to the temple monk who introduced it as a temple site in the Tang Dynasty, after the vicissitudes of life through the millennia, an official in the Qing Temple in 1844 AD, the early Republic confirmed this mountain is a Buddhist holy place, so named for the South Temple. When the time is the Goddess of Mercy’s birthday every year (lunar February 19, June 19, September 19), many people near the county and from all over the country come to burn incense and pray to make a wish. It has become a famous Buddhist cultural destination in northern Guangxi.
On Saturday, October 15th, 2011, we went to visit the Nanfeng Temple together.
When we climbed the mountain, the sunlight was so strong.
Sometimes we met some of the villagers, look, in her arms was a cute kid!
Bring umbrellas, really a wise choice.
Calligraphy and decoration of temples. Who was that? He is a famous Chinese warrior Guan Yu.
Many people are in the temple, they came to celebrate the Goddess of Mercy’s birthday. There were a lot of Buddahs here, and each one was very solemn and beautiful. Monks was chanting in earnest.
A naughty child was playing on the lion's back.
Finally, let us take a photograph together!
This really is a meaningful event.
