There was a calligraphy lesson on January 17th, 2012. We were going to write the “福” which meant blessing and luck in Chinese. Chinese people like to paste “福” on the doors on Spring Festival.
Becky, our teacher today, is telling us the different forms of “福”.
Here are three forms of “福”。And the one we are going today is the simplest one which is on the left.
First, we learn the basic strokes. They are really into it. From left: Hope, Patrick, Noah and Shaher.
Becky is tutoring Shaher.
Anna is earnest.
Noah, good start~
Hope has done a good job!
After practicing, we are trying the best one on the red paper so as to paste on the door~~
From left: Melissa, Anna, Stefan, Isaac, Wade and Ian’s arm…
Well done! Stefan!
Isaac, show us your work~
In the coming new year, we are going to have a lot of “福”!!
A lucky table~~~ Beautiful Chinese red~~~
