Thursday September 8th 2011, there was a fruit platter competition held in Omeida College, our Chinese Academy joined in and got the first prize.
Our Platter is a 'shark' , it is made of watermelon, and in the mouth of this 'shark' , there are two Chinese characters, which mean Chinese. The green parts around the 'shark' are 'waves' , which represent the waves in the ocean, we used green mandarin peels to make it.
As we all know, sharks are very scary, just like a kind of new language, at the first time we meet it, we feel uncomfortable and afraid. But during the time we learn it, we should completely immerse in it, be interested in every sentence, every word. Finally, in that way, we will learn this language well, just like we will eat the delicious meat of this 'shark' .
Our 'artist' is carving, can you image the watermelon in his hand will become a 'shark' later?
Your duty is fix the watermelon?
The fin on the 'shark' s' back is hard to fix, but our work is almost finished!
'Artist' is still carving the teeth, what we pursue is perfection!
It's cool, right?
Look from upside, the 'shark' is so cute!
The Chinese characters on the sign mean Chinese Academy.
When other people are listening to the speeches of other teams' platters during presentations, we already can' t wait to take pictures with our 'shark' .
We are the champion!
