Leah is a lovely young American girl working in southern China. She took a one month break to study Chinese at Omeida from January 30 to February 24, 2012. During her study, she surprisingly found several of her friends are traveling or working in Yangshuo as well. What a small world!
Leah loves her teacher very much. She told us: “Lynn is obviously the best teacher there…... She’s not afraid to have questions asked. She speaks slowly and is patient with her students. She is professional and doesn’t cross teacher-student boundaries. She is respectful, inquisitive and kind. She worked with me to help me learn instead of just teaching me. Her lessons involved various activities so that they were not boring or repetitive. She pushed me to learn, but didn’t overdo it. She listened to me and shaped her lessons around what I wanted and needed…….I learned grammar, vocab covering many different themes; fruit, body parts, careers, places, etc..My favorite lessons were learning Hanzi……I would consider coming back to Omeida to learn more.”
We are looking forward to her coming back, Omeida will always be a warm Chinese family for our students.
